SAP Support Engineer Intern

The SAP Support Engineer provides high level technical support to resolve application issues dealing with ReadSoft products within SAP R/3 and within ReadSoft Java applications. The SAP Technician also provides Basis support to customers. On the job training is provided.

Please note that his is not a call center position. This position provides high level technical support via remote sessions.

  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration with a Computer Science option, ISDS or CIS.
  • Junior or Senior level
  • Ability to work 15 – 20 hours per week in the New Orleans office while in school
  • Experience in procedural programming languages.
  • Knowledge of the SAP database environment.
  • Ability to quickly evaluate probable causes of problem and to solicit additional information from the customer.
  • Ability to think logically and to synthesize information.
  • Knowledge of information systems terms and general business terms.
  • Knowledge of business accounting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a team player.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks.
  • Experience in problem analysis and resolution.
  • Ability to handle tense situations calmly and politely.
