SAP Project Engineer

About the Position

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Train US engineers on the development and implementation of Readsoft-SAP integrated products that support customers’ business operations including areas of finance, materials management, invoice processing, business processes operations, and corporate services.
  • Use knowledge of computer systems and financial principles to assess customers business requirements, design, and implement AP/INVOICES/SAP solutions for ongoing customer projects.
  • Write design documentation and analyze, troubleshoot, and write customer code (ABAP) for ReadSoft’s existing and new customer base.
  • Support customers and partners on ReadSoft’s INVOICE cockpit software, a tool which uses SAP to automate customers’ accounting tasks, in product in areas of installation, integration, and ongoing customer support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Finance or a related field.
  • Employer will accept a technical Associate’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Finance or a related field in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • 2 years of experience in SAP product development.

Experience to include:

  • ABAP Workbench
  • SAP Debugger
  • Development methodologies
  • Systems analysis
  • Applying information technology to business processes including document processing and data capturing from images for business users
  • Invoice processing with SAP
  • Systems development
  • Workflow, ERP, SAP R/3, archive and document management systems

Pre or post qualifying degree experience is acceptable.

This position is based in our Metairie, Louisiana office.
