ReadSoft's technology:

ReadSoft software extracts information from business documents such as invoices, forms, claims, orders etc. (paper or electronic). The extracted information is used for automated document sorting, information matching against ERP systems, and approval workflows.

Bob Fresneda

Bob Fresneda

Bob Fresneda functions as the President of ReadSoft, Inc. Bob came to his role at ReadSoft with 15 years as a true leader in the automated data capture software industry. He was appointed President in 2001 after leading the ReadSoft sales team to record performances during his tenure as Vice President of Sales.

Under the guidance and leadership of Bob, ReadSoft US is now the largest in number of personnel and revenues out of the 16 global subsidiaries.

Bob has spent his entire career in the automated data capture software industry starting off in sales management prior to becoming President of ReadSoft US. During his career, Bob has emerged in the field to become an industry speaker at conventions and trade shows while often being quoted in publications of interest to the industry.

Bob is married and has three boys, which encourage year round participation in school and sports activity with his family.

Dan Andersson

Dan Andersson

Dan Andersson’s role as Vice President of Professional Services for ReadSoft is essential in creating an environment dedicated to providing professional services to new and existing customers. Dan leads a department of technical and functional professionals in pre-sales, consulting services, and customer care services.

His extensive management skills and experience in project management, software engineering and customer relations assist Dan in serving ReadSoft’s customers and partners well.

Since graduating in 1991, Dan has worked in the document management business and gained valuable experience in management, software development, technical applications, and project management. Initially working for ReadSoft in a product integration and project engineering role, Dan built a strong foundation in ReadSoft product development, release management, implementation practices, and customer support. He has a Master of Science degree in mathematics, specializing in computer science. Dan’s combined technical, social, and leadership abilities are valuable assets to ReadSoft and customers.

Steve Bennion

Steve Bennion

As Director of Sales for North America, Steve Bennion leads the direct sales efforts of ReadSoft for document management and workflow solutions for SAP and Oracle. Steve has over 20 years experience in consulting to ERP environments; the past 10 years have been specifically in the SAP and Oracle marketplace.

Steve has an extensive knowledge of process optimization with a focus in procure-to-pay best practice concepts and frequently conducts workshops to help companies improve their process efficiencies.

Steve has been a speaker at various industry events, including IQPC, IAPP, ASUG chapter meetings, Oracle Open World, ASUG/Sapphire meetings and more. Steve has a Marketing degree from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the University of Portland.

Bob Monio

Bob Monio

As the Director of North American Channels and Alliances at ReadSoft, Bob Monio is responsible for the growing operations of ReadSoft’s Partner channel as it engages ISVs, OEMs, and Systems Integrators in the North American market.

With over 25 years in the IT solutions industry, Bob initially worked as developer creating some of the first telemarketing and survey software for organizations looking to better leverage their marketing initiatives. Bob later parlayed his background in sales, re-engineering, and customer relationship management systems into the development of a very successful IBM Consulting firm in the 90's. As an owner of Metrix Communications, Robert participated with Lotus in the successful delivery of the Domino product line to the market and created several award-winning collaborative business solutions.

In 1998, Metrix became part of USWeb/CKS and Robert took on the worldwide responsibility for driving IBM-based solutions across USWeb/CKS - resulting in over 150M of IBM software sales and an IBM Beacon Award for distinguished achievement. In 2001, Bob became part of SBI Group and later joined Open Text Corporation through the sale of the Optura organization. At Open Text, Bob was responsible for the Global Alliances program – successfully engineering Alliances with firms such as Accenture and Deloitte while also serving as the manager of Open Text’s North American channel program- the results of these efforts helping to grow Open Text’s Partner revenue contribution from 14% to 34% in 3 years. Bob joined ReadSoft in early 2010 to help grow the Channel around ReadSoft’s market leading Capture and Accounts Payable solutions for SAP and Oracle.

Married for over 25 years and with 2 daughters, Bob spends his leisure time helping to run the family’s hobby farm and taking care of their beloved horses and hunting dogs.

Helen Branley

Helen Branley

Helen Branley functions as the Controller for ReadSoft North America. Helen’s well-developed professional accounting skills allow her to maintain financial control over the subsidiary. Helen is able to juggle between currencies and accounting rules of the United States and those of the Swedish parent company, ReadSoft AB.

Working for a publicly traded company, Helen’s Certified Public Accountant status and twenty-plus years’ experience in accounting and financial reporting are of great value. Along with monthly financial reporting, Helen also is responsible for accounts receivable and accounts payable, cost control, and financial planning.

Helen received her B.S. in Accounting from the University of New Orleans and is a member of both the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

History

Jan Andersson and Lars AppelstålDid you know that ReadSoft started out as a pet project by the two Swedish university students Jan Andersson and Lars Appelstål in the late 1980's?

They had seen how much time people spent on manually handling documents and thought that there must be a way to automate these processes. Freeing offices from manual document handling has been ReadSoft's mission ever since.

Since the start in 1991, the ReadSoft brand has stood for constant innovation and we still take pride in being the innovators of our field.

1988

Swedish college classmates, Jan Andersson and Lars Appelstål, begin investing their spare time in developing a system for interpreting handwritten characters.

1991

ReadSoft is founded. The first customer, Yves Rocher, uses the software to scan incoming order forms.

1992-1996

The company grows rapidly, and a number of technical innovations are launched, such as Fast Verify, Batch Handling, and the ability to handle multiple languages.

1997

Introducing INVOICES, the first self-tutoring software for handling invoices.

The product FORMS receives award for its scalability and integration abilities.

1999

ReadSoft is listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.

FORMS is praised for its revolutionary color handling and character recognition.

2000-2001

ReadSoft is hit by the .com crash, but consolidates and still manage to launch a lot of new technology such as scanning in color, capture of electronic documents and the market’s first certified integration to SAP.

ReadSoft is named IT Company of the Year in Sweden.

2005

ReadSoft acquires Danish Consit Development which becomes the ReadSoft Lab – Oracle Solutions. With this, ReadSoft has an integration and workflow for Oracle E-Business Suite.

2006

ReadSoft acquires German Ebydos AG which becomes the ReadSoft Lab – SAP Solutions. With this, ReadSoft has an integration and workflow for SAP R/3.

2007

Introducing a technology for classifying and indexing large volumes of documents without human intervention.

ECM Connection's ACE Awards 2007 ReadSoft software is commended for its compliance with other systems.

2008

Launch of pioneering click-to-view software for invoice reporting.

2010

Introducing a concept where documents find their own way through an organization.
